임산부석 남자도 앉아도 된다

임산부석은 임산부가 대중교통 이용시 편히 앉을 수 있도록 특별히 만들어 놓은 좌석이다. 하지만 임산부석을 가지고 말이 많다. 전세계 출산율 최하위 국가인 한국에서는 임산부석이 필요 없지 않느냐. 임산부석에 임산부가 앉는 경우를 못 밨으니 항상 자리를 비워둬라. 임산부석은 임신을 했던 사람도 앉을 수 있도록 해줘라. 일단 남자는 앉으면 안된다. 미래 출산을 할 사람이거나 출산을 했던 사람이거나 임신을 한 사람은 앉을 수 있지만 남자는 앉으면 안 된다. 등등 많은 의견들이 있었습니다. 그리고 위에 캡쳐화면은 코레일에서 답변이 온 답장입니다. 전철의 주인은 코레일이니 임산부석이 비어있고 주변에 임산부가 없다면 어떤 일반 승객도 임산부석 착석이 가능하다고 합니다. 하지만 임산부가 같은 열차에 타고 있다면 반드시 비켜줘야겠지요. 주위에 아무도 없는데 좌석을 비우고 서서 가기 보다는 앉아서 가는 것이 좋으니까 말입니다. 한국에 임산부들이 많아져서 임산부석이 확대 될 수 있는 날을 꿈꿉니다.  The priority seat is made for some people who have handicaps. And it is quite hot issue in South Korea. There are a lot of opinions that people are saying. For example, "South Korea women don't even get married to anybody. Why do need seats for pregnant women?", "The priority seats should be unoccupied even when subway is full of people just in case.", "We can sit on priority seats when the people are not around." And as you can see the picture above, this is the text message from KORAIL; Korea Railroad Corporation which is saying anyone can sit on the priority seats only if the people are not around. I strongly believe the time when South Korea increases the number of the priority seats will come.

The picture above is what I used to eat for last 2 years. It is a just normal Ramyeon with packages. When I choose Ramyeon at the mart I was not hesitate or worry about the price because I know myself that I am going to choose the cheapest one no matter what it tastes like. And I used to buy 20 packs at once so I can get discounted.  At the time, I had only about 10 dollars in my bank account getting not paid at all. I will say Ramyeon is the food that poor people eat for their living. I did not know eating Ramyeon every day causes inflammation in intestines. Actually going hospital and getting a diagnosis costs a lot more than 20 packs of Ramyeon. 사진에 있는 라면은 거의 2년 동안 먹었던 일반 라면입니다. 마트에서 라면을 고를 때 주저하거나 가격을 걱정한 적이 없습니다. 왜냐하면 저 자신이 어찌 됐든 가장 싼 라면을 골라서 살 것을 알고 있었기 때문입니다. 그리고 한 번 살 때 할인을 받으려고 여러 팩을 한 번에 샀습니다. 정말 힘들었습니다.

그리고 최근에 누군가 도시락을 사줬습니다. 이 도시락 역시 라면처럼 공장에서 나오는 음식입니다. 하지만 너무 맛있었습니다. 반찬이 5개가 넘는 밥상에서 먹어던 기억이 나지 않습니다. 가난하다고 해서 포기할 이유는 없는 것 같습니다. 가난하다고 해서 꿈까지 가난할 필요는 없는 것 같습니다. 맛있는 것을 하루 3끼 먹어보고 싶다는 꿈이 생겼습니다. 열심히 일하고 공부해서 꼭 맛있는 것으로만 삼시세끼를 먹고 싶습니다. 여러분들도 화이팅하세요!

A few days ago, one of my acquaintance bought me lunch box in the picture. Of course the lunch box is made in the factory but it was so nice compared to Ramyeon that I had been eating for last 2 years. I do not remember the last time I ate a meal with more than five side dishes. I don't think there's a certain reason that poor people have to give up. I don't think there's a reason that dreams of poor people should be poor too. I have a dream that I want to eat meals like the lunch box 3 times a day for long. I seriously want to eat the meal like the lunch box three times a day. Everyone go for it and let us be go-getters!

비오는날 한동대학교

비오는 날 한동대에서는 부러진 우산을 쉽게 볼 수 있습니다. 이유는 한동대학교는 산에 위치해있고 바람이 세게 불기 때문입니다.

You can see the broken umbrellas just like above easily because the Handong campus is located on the mountain and its wind is very strong.

Can't imagine how many umbrellas have been thrown away in the campus by far haha. Pictures above were not taken on the specially windy day. It happens a lot in Handong and it is very normal haha.

지금까지 얼마나 많은 우산이 버려졌을지 상상할 수 없습니다.  위에 사진들은 특별하게 바람이 강한 날에 찍은 사진들이 아닙니다. 한동대학교에서는 비오는 날 흔하게 일어나는 일입니다.

Bike Seller @Handong Global University

한동대 자전거 아저씨

Bike seller also known as Bike ahjussi comes to the campus every other Wednesday. Around 10 AM he comes to the campus and starts displaying, and he sells until around 4 PM.

한동대 자전거 아저씨는 격주 수요일 마다 옵니다.

Those bikes look all brand-new but some of them are used and second hand. Those bike are pretty cheap and nice. You can get a bike under the price of 100,000 won. 

모든 자전거가 새거처럼 보이지만 몇몇은 중고입니다. 자전거 상태는 괜찮습니다. 대부분 자전거는 10만원 내외입니다.

He not only sells but also fixes. Sometimes he sells at high prices so you should make sure the price before asking him.

자전거 아저씨는 파는 것 뿐만 아니라 고치기도 합니다. 하지만 가끔 비싼 가격을 부르기도 합니다. 그래서 수리 맡기기 전에 가격을 확실히해야 합니다.

Laundry @Handong Global University

한동대학교 세탁소

한동대학교에 위치한 세탁소에 가시면 잔잔한 라디오 노래를 들을 수 있습니다. In the laundry located inside of Handong Global University, you can listen to quiet songs. The packages on the racks are the bedding that students stored during the break. It costs about for 5,000won for a break. I don't know if you can store your bedding during regular semester. The laundry is placed in the building where right next to the school pus parking lot.

The laundry owner works with that 'old but goodie' machines :-) I just can't believe that old sawing machine is still working without any brokens. It seems like the machine lived more than I did.

세탁소 주인 아줌마는 저 오래되고 좋은 기계들로 일을 하십니다. 저 오래된 재봉틀이 아직도 고장 없이 잘 된다는 것을 믿을 수 없네요. 저 기계가 학생 보다 오래 살았을 것 같네요.

These shoes are washed by laundry ahjumma(세탁소 아줌마) and waiting for their owners to come. Washing a pair of shoes costs 4,000 won. Pretty reasonable price for college students, right?

신발장에 있는 신발들은 세탁이 되고 나서 주인을 기다리고 있습니다. 신발 세탁은 한 쌍에 4,000 원 입니다. 합리적인 가격인 것 같습니다?

Countless many shoes are waiting... please take it back as soon as possible if you left your shoes in the laundry. A day is enough to wait.

정말 많은 신발들이 기다리고 있습니다. 신발 세탁을 맡겼으면 최대한 빨리 가져가세요. 하루면 세탁이 다 됩니다.

This sawing machine helps repair clothes and shoes. Laundry is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

저 기계로 신발과 옷 수선을 합니다. 운영시간은 오전 9시 부터 오후 5시 까지 입니다.

You can pay by transferring money, cash or debit card also. Plus, the candies in the basket are free for anyone :) If you have not used the Handong laundry, it is the right time for you to visit once at least :)
