Day 13: Sausalito, San Francisco(소살리토)

 암스테르담 호텔에서 일어나고 나는 뮤니패스를 사려고 했다. 뮤니패스를 살 때는 반드시 앱을 설치해서 구매하도록 한다. 나는 뮤니패스를 카드로 샀는데 짐만 되고 앱으로 사는 것이 더 싸다. 출발 전에 맥도날드에서 맥머핀 3개를 먹었다.

 I was going to buy a Muni pass. When buying a Muni pass, make sure to install an app. I bought a Muni pass with a card, but it's only luggage and it's cheaper to buy it with an app. I had three Mc Muffins at McDonald's before departure.

 뮤니패스 구매를 하고 가까운 버스 정류장에 간다. 그리고 버스를 기다렸다. 유니언 스퀘어 근처에서 버스를 타서 소살리토로 갔는데 소살리토는 샌프란시스코가 아니다. 그래서 환승이 안되기 때문에 현금도 준비해야 한다. 샌프란시스코에서 소살리토까지 가는 환승표가 $1.25 로 기억한다.

 I bought a Muni pass and went to the nearest bus stop. And I waited for the bus. I took a bus near Union Square and went to Sosalito, not San Francisco. So you have to prepare cash because Muni pass is only available within San Francisco. I remember a transfer ticket from San Francisco to Sosalito for $1.25

 약 40분 동안 버스를 타고 소살리토에 도착했다! 이날도 날씨가 별로여서 관광객도 많이 없고 완전 별로였다. 만약 날씨가 정말 화창했더라면 좋은 여행이 되었을 것 같다.

 We arrived at Sosalito by bus for about 40 minutes! The weather was not good on this day, so there were not many tourists and it was really bad. If the weather had been really sunny, it would have been a good trip.

 소살리토에서 먹을 수 있는 음식 중 유명한 음식은 해산물이 있다. 다만 알아둬야 할 것은 소살리토 물가는 샌프란시스코 물가보다 비싸다. 

 One of the most famous foods you can eat in Sosalito is seafood. Just keep in mind that the price of Sosalito is more expensive than that of San Francisco.

 소살리토는 관광지이기도 하지만 사람들이 모여 사는 작은 섬 마을 같은 느낌이다.

 Although Sosalito is a tourist destination, it feels like a small island town where people live together.

 이런 생활 체육 시설은 확실히 한국 보다 미국이 더 잘 되어 있는 것 같다.

 These facilities certainly seem to be better equipped in the United States than in Korea.

어쩌다가 trail을 발견하게 되었고 계속 따라서 올라갔다.

 Bobcat Trail, Rodeo Valley Trail, SCA Trail 등등 경로가 많이 있다. 그 중에서 필자는 Bobcat Trail을 따라 갔는데 잘 선택했다는 생각을 했다. 소살리토에 와서 Bobcat Trail을 꼭 방문하기를 추천한다.

 I recommend you to come to Sosalito and visit Bobcat Trail.

구글맵을 켜고 Bobcat Trail 혹은 Morning Sun Trail을 입력하고 GPS가 알려주는대로 따라 걸어가면 된다.

 Bobcat Trail까지 가는 길이 험하다. 튼튼한 신발을 신지 않았다면 아마 못 올라 갔을 것이다. 대신에 약 20분 정도 올라가면 소살리토를 한 번에 내려다 볼 수 있는 경치를 볼 수 있다.

 The road to the Bobcat Trail is rough. If you weren't wearing strong shoes, you probably wouldn't have been able to climb it. It takes about 20 minutes to get a view of Sosalito at once.

 가는 길이 위험하다.

 The road is dangerous. But if you have kind of tendency to travel the road that less traveled, the bobcat trail in Sausalito is a good chance to visit once.

 이렇게 위험한 길을 20분 정도 올라가면 이렇게 멋있는 경치가 나온다. 날씨만 좋았더라면 훨씬 더 좋았을 것이라고 확신한다.

 If you go up this dangerous road for about 20 minutes, you'll get a beautiful view like this way I'm sure it would have been much better if the weather had been good.

 정상에서 나 외에 어떤 다른 사람도 없었다. 유명한 관광지가 아니라서 그런 것 같다.

 There was no one but me at the top of the mountain. I think it's because it's not a famous sightseeing place.

경치는 직접 가서 보는 것이 사진보다 훨씬 더 아름답다. 내가 사진을 못 찍어서 그렇다.

 Bobcat Trail 정상에서 내려오면서 볼 수 있는 소살리토 집들. 유럽식 주택이라고 하나? 개인 공간이 잘 확보 되어있고 주택 하나 하나가 정말 크다. 샌프란시스코는 도시인데 도시 주변에 이런 마을이 있다는 것이 또 신선하게 다가온다.

 (날씨만 좋았더라면) 그림에서 나올 것 같은 풍경이다. 이런 곳에서 Airbnb(에어비앤비)를 가격을 찾아봤는데 많이 없을 뿐더러 1박에 $70.... 너무 비싸다.

 완전히 다 내려오면 식당들이 있다. 절대 절대 아무 식당이 가지 않기를 추천한다. salito's는 항구 경치를 보면서 먹을 수 있어서 사람들이 많이 있었다 (그런데 이 날 비도 오고 날씨가 완전 꽝이어서..).

 버튼을 눌러야 신호가 바뀌는 신호등. 뭔가 더 안 좋은 것 같기도 하고 좋은 것 같기도 하고 잘 모르겠다.

 미국 우체국은 일처리가 엄청 느리기로 유명하다고 한다. 우편 받는 것도 일주일 씩 걸린다고 하는데 다 큰 한국 성인들은 미국 와서 살기 어려울 것 같다.

 Sausalito Visitor Center (소살리토 방문객 센터)! 소살리토를 방문했으면 꼭 들려야하는 곳 중 하나라고 생각한다. 많은 관광객들이 소살리토에 와서 기념품도 사고 맛난 것만 먹고 휴양을 하고 가지만 (물론 이것도 정말 좋다), 소살리토에 와서 소살리토 전통 기념품과 역사를 알고 가는 것도 좋지 않을까?

 작은 박물관 같은 역사 전시관도 무료 입장이다. 이곳 담당 아주머니도 친절하시고 좋았다. 설명을 해달라고 하면 친절하게 설명도 해준다.

 이 사람이 누군지 기억이 안 나는데 소살리토 역사 전시관에 있었다. 여행 전에 책도 안 읽고 공부를 안 하고 와서 많이 헤맸다. 알면 더 재밌는 여행이 될텐데 아쉬웠다.

 미국 여행에 와서 인상 깊었던 점은 이런 의자 하나 하나에 위인 혹이 이 지역에서 공로를 인정 받은 사람들의 이름과 명언(quote) 새겨 있다는 것이다. 이 지역 사람들이 의자에 앉으면서 이 사람은 어떤 사람인지 알게 되고 자기 지역에 대한 자부심이 강해지는 그런 계기가 될 수 있을 것 같다.

 날씨만 좋았더라면 정말 좋았을텐데 너무 아쉽다...

 이 거리는 사람들이 쇼핑도 하고 기념품도 사고 베이커리도 있는 그런 인사동 같은? 거리이다. 여자 관광객들이 좋아할 만한 것들이 많이 있었다. 소살리토에서 샌프란시스코로 돌아가는 길에도 Muni Pass는 사용할 수 없다. Muni pass is only available in San Francisco and Sausalito is not a part of San Francisco. Be aware of it before heading to Sausalito!

Day 12: LA Union Station to San Francisco(샌프란시스코)

 친구 집에서 5일 동안 잘 잤다. Uber를 타고 LA Union Station으로 갔다.  Uber option 중 가장 저렴한 Uber pool을 타고 LA Union Station으로 갔다.
 버스 출발 시간이 오전 8시이어서 아침에 일찍 일어나서 출발해야 했는데 Uber Pool을 타서 조금 위험할 뻔 했다. 우버 드라이버가 운행 도중에도 다른 승객의 탑승을 승낙할 수 있어서 조금 늦을 뻔 했지만 여유롭게 도착했다.

 I slept well for five days at my friend's house. I went to LA Union Station by Uber. I went to LA Union Station by Uber pool which is the cheapest among Uber options. It was 8 a.m. and I had to get up early in the morning, but it could have been a little dangerous because I rode Uber Pool. The Uber driver was able to accept other passengers' boarding even during the journey, almost late but leisurely arrived.

 이른 새벽 시간이어서 그런지 사람들이 많지는 않았다. It was early in the morning, so not many people were there.

 Only few stores in the station were open. 역에는 가게가 몇 개 안 열려 있었다.

 LA Union Station은 서울역 정도 크기로 정말 크다. 그래서 버스 출발 시간 보다 20분 정도 먼저 와서 자기 플랫폼 찾고 기다리는 것이 마음 편할 것 같다.

 The LA Union Station is about as big as Seoul Station. So I think it would be comfortable to come 20 minutes before the bus departure time to find and wait for my platform.

 플랫폼에서 조금 헤매긴 했는데 잘 버스에 탑승했다.

 I wandered a little bit on the platform, but I got on the bus well.

 LA는 어딜 가나 노숙자들이 많다. 항상 조심해야 한다.
 LA Union Station에 사람들이 기다리는 의자에 노숙자들이 자고 있었다.  그냥 서울역 같다.

 There are many homeless people everywhere in LA. Always be careful.

  누군가는 7시간 버스 탑승은 단거리라고 하는데 장난치냐고 묻고 싶다. 하루가 정말 느리게 지나간다. 버스에서 7시간 동안 할 것도 정말 아무 것도 없다. 만약 나처럼 장시간 메가버스를 타게 된다면 버스 탑승 전날 잠을 아끼고 버스에서 실컷 자는 것을 추천한다.

  Some people say that riding a 7-hour bus is short distance, but I want to ask if the person is kidding. The day passes really slowly. There's really nothing to do for seven hours on the bus. If you take the Megabus for a long time like me, I recommend you to save sleep and sleep on the bus as much as you want.

 이렇게 점심시간이 되면 휴게소에서 15분 동안 멈춘다. 그런데 15분 지나면 정말 짤 없이 출발한다. 사람들이 다 패스트 푸드를 사가지고 다시 버스에 탑승한다.

 At lunch time like this, they stop at the rest area for 15 minutes. But after 15 minutes, we'll leave without a hitch. Everyone buys fast food and gets back on the bus.

 계속 달린다. 어떠한 것도 보이지 않는다. 마치 컴퓨터 정지화면을 보는 것 같이 계속 이렇게 간다. 다른 탑승객들은 랩탑을 가져와서 영화를 보기도 하고, 책을 읽기도 했는데 나는 핸드폰 말고 없어서 핸드폰으로 사진찍고 인터넷도 하다가 지겨워서 몇 시간 자고 옆좌석 사람이랑 이야기도 하고 했는데도 7시간은 정말 너무 길다.

 The bus keeps running without stopping.

 미국 여행을 하면서 Horizon(수평선, 지평선)을 많이 보게 되는 것 같다. 한국에서는 거의 못 본 것 같은데 말이다.

 I think I saw a lot of Horizon (horizontal, horizon) on my trip to the U.S. I hardly think I've seen it in Korea.

 나는 오늘 오전 7시에 기상하고 오전 버스에 탑승했다. 그리고 버스를 타고 샌프란시스코 숙박업소에 도착하니 저녁 8시 쯤 됐었다. 몸은 얼마나 피곤한지 씻고 바로 잤다.

 샌프란시스코에 암스테르담이라는 호텔을 예약했는데 만약 이것을 보고 샌프란시스코 여행을 계획하는 한국인 관광객이 있다면 해주고 싶은 말은 이 호텔은 절대 가지 마라.

 I got up at 7 a.m. today and got on the bus in the morning. And when I arrived at San Francisco by bus, it was about 8 p.m. My body was so tired that I washed and slept right away.

 I have booked a hotel in San Francisco called Amsterdam, and if there's any tourist planning a trip to San Francisco I would never recommend this hotel.

Day 11: In-N-Out(인앤아웃) and $4 Megabus(메가버스) from L.A. Union Station to San Francisco

 한국인이 많이 사는 아파트 주변 코인 세탁소에 가면 미국에서 한국어도 볼 수 있다. 미국에 와서 처음으로 본 한글인 것 같아서 신기했다. You can also see Korean in the U.S. when you go to a coin laundry near an apartment where many Koreans live. It was interesting because it was the first Korean that I saw when I came to the United States.

 아파트 주변에 이런게 있었다. 아파트에서 나와서 인앤아웃까지 운동할 겸 뛰어갔다. 다음날에 샌프란시스코로 떠나기 때문에 이 날 하루는 여행 대신 집에서 휴식했다.

 There was this around the apartment. I left my apartment and ran to in-and-out to exercise. I took a rest at home instead of traveling because I was leaving for San Francisco the next day.

 친구 집에서 뛰어서 빠른 걸음으로 약 10분 거리에 있는 IN N OUT(인앤아웃) !

 인앤아웃 그냥 기본 햄버거 단품은 $ 2.99! 한국에서 이 가격에 팔면 햄버거 먹을 때 마다 인앤아웃 먹을 것 같다.

한국은 음식이 비싼 것 같다?

 In-N-Out. Just a basic hamburger for $2.99! If any hamburger place sells it at this price in Korea, I think I will go there whenever I eat a hamburger.

 맛이 엄청 훌륭하고 그런건 아닌데 건강해지는 맛이라서 좋다.

 한국 버거가 조금 짜다면 미국 햄버거는 커스텀이 가능해서 주문하는대로 먹을 수 있다.

 It tastes great and it's not like that, but it's good because it's healthy.
 If the Korean burger is a little bit salty, the American burger is customizable, so you can eat it on demand

 Gardena(가디나) 거리? 먹거리 상가? 정도라고 해야될까?

 Gardena(가디나)를 한국에 비교하자면 ... Gardena는 L.A. 라는 대도시 옆에 있으니까 Gardena는 의왕시 정도 되는 것 같다?

 이제 샌프란시스코로 여행을 이어가려고 컴퓨터를 켰다. 고민에 빠졌다. 비행기, 기차, 버스 등 옵션이 너무 많았다. 당장 내일 가는데 준비한 게 없어서 어떻게 갈 지 심각한 고민에 빠졌다. 그런데 친구가 메가버스를 알아보라고 했다. 가격은 최고로 저렴한데 7시간 걸린다는 것이 너무 큰 흠이었다. 비행기를 타자니 오전에 출발하는 것이 없었다. 7시간이 너무 길지만 Megabus(메가버스)를 타기로 결정했다! 다음날 새벽에 일어나서 LA Union Station에 도착하고 기다려서 버스를 탔다. 메가버스 홈페이지에 들어가면 나는 총 $7.49에 결제 했지만, 가끔 이벤트 할 때는 total $1 에 판매할 때도 있었고, early booking은 total $ 4.99에 판매하는 경우도 있었다. 뭐든지 계획적으로 생활하는 것이 좋은 것 같다. $7.49면 저렴한 가격인데 전날 가격을 보니 괜히 손해 보는 기분? 다음 포스트부터는 San Francisco!

Day 10: Little Tokyo and Culver City

 미국에 사는 친구를 오랜만에 만나서 굉장히 반가웠다.

 그렇게 뭐할까 고민하다가 쇼핑하러 가자고 해서 우선 fashion outlet으로 갔다. 어디에 있는 아웃렛인지는 모르겠는데 일단 가서 티셔츠 몇 개랑 바지를 샀다.

 It was very nice to meet a friend who lives in America after a long time.
 I thought about what to do with my friend, I asked to go shopping, so we went to the shopping outlet first. I don't remember where the outlet is, but I went and bought some T-shirts and pants.

그리고 리틀 토쿄로 갔다.
리틀 토쿄는 일본계 미국인들이 운영하는 식당, 문구점이 있었다. 일본과 관련된 문화 사업을 하는 작은 마을이다. 미국 사람들 중 일본을 좋아하는 사람들이 식당에서 아르바이트도 한다. 일본을 미친듯이 좋아하는 사람을 Weaboo라고 한다. 구글에 검색하면 나온다. 한국을 미친듯이 좋아하는 사람들을 Koreaboo라고 한다.

And I went to Little Tokyo.

There was a stationery store, restaurant run by Japanese-Americans in Little Tokyo. The Little Tokyo is like a small town that represents Japanese culture in the United States.  The most of people who are working as a part-time job at a restaurant were people who like Japan or interested in Japan Culture. American people who like Japan The people who like Japan insanely  are called weaboo. When you search on Google you can find more about it. The people who like Korea insanely are called Koreaboo.

 미국 물가는 강남보다 조금 더 비싸다고 생각하면 된다. 그말은 즉슨 매우 비싸다.

 Just think that prices in the U.S. are a little more expensive than in Gangnam. That is, it is very expensive(Especially the price in the cities).

 나는 돈이 부족해서 마트에 가서 편의점 음식을 먹었다. 음식은 일본 음식인데 만들어진 곳은 미국이라 그런지 일본 편의점 감성이 덜 하고 맛도 덜 하다. 반드시 참고할 것. 리틀 토쿄는 맛이 없다.

 I went to the mart to eat convenience store food because I didn't have enough money to eat at a restaurant. The food(Yakisoba) is Japanese food, but since it is made in the U.S., it is less sensitive and tastes less. Be sure to refer. Little Tokyo's food is tasteless.

 친구랑 할 것이 없어서 PC방 갈래? 하다가 PC방에 들어갔다가 가격표를 보고 바로 나왔다. 한 시간에 $4? 후다닥.

 I was like "Do you want to go to PC room because I have nothing to do." to my friend? I went into the PC room and came out right after I saw the PC room fees. Four dollars an hour? The owner must be kidding.

 일본에 관심이 없는 사람들이 가도 흥미로운게 많다. 건물 안에 코스튬 스토어, 비디오 게임 스토어, 잡지 스토어, PC방, 피규어 인형 스토어, 만화방 등등 일본 문화를 접할 수 있는 가게들이 많다. 그리고 자유롭게 구경할 수 있어서 좋다. 한국인이지만 한 번 쯤 가보는 것도 좋다. Korea Town에도 한국 문화를 접할 수 있는 그런 가게들이 많아지면 관광객 유치가 수월할 수도 있겠다.

 There are many interesting things that people who are not interested in Japan go there. Inside the building, there are many stores that have access to Japanese culture such as a costume store, video game store, magazine store, PC room, Figour doll store, cartoon room, etc. And it's good to be able to see freely. Even though you are Korean, it's good to go there once. If there are many stores that have access to Korean culture in Korea Town, attracting tourists could be easy.

 마지막으로 친구랑 저녁을 먹으러 Culver City에 있는 Father's Office에 갔다. 햄버거가 정말 맛있다. 무조건 추천이다. 하지만 만 21세 미만은 입장 불가다. 햄버거 집인데 술을 팔아서 아예 입장 불가다.

 Finally, I went to Father's Office in Culver City for dinner with my friend. The hamburger is really delicious. It's definitely recommended. However, those under the age of 21 are not allowed to enter. It's a hamburger house, but you can't enter at all because here sells alcohol.

Day 9: Hollywood(할리우드) and Griffith Observatory(그리피스 천문대)

 숙소에서 할리우드 거리에 도착했다. 현지 친구들이 할리우드에서 절대 눈에 띄는 행동을 하지 말라고 했다. 할리우드에 사기꾼들이 많다고 들었다.

 I arrived on the Hollywood street from my lodgings. Local friends told me never to stand out in Hollywood. I heard there are many crooks in Hollywood.

 숙소에서 할리우드까지 거의 30분 거리였다. 미국에서는 2시간 거리 정도면 보통 거리라고 했다.

 It was almost a half-hour drive from the hotel to Hollywood. In the U.S., it is said that a two-hour distance is a normal distance.

 중국 템플 같이 생긴 곳에서 사람들이 바닥만 보고 있는 이유가 있다!

 There's a reason why people are watching the floor in places that look like a Chinese temple!

 한국 사람들은 모두 여기 와서 사진을 찍는다!

 Torrence, Gardena, Compton, Orange County, Los Angeles 다 붙어 있어서 어디서 Uber를 타도 $30 안에서 해결된다. 대중교통을 타서 2시간을 소요하는 대신 비용을 아끼느냐, 시간을 아끼고 돈을 쓰느냐 문제다. 같이 여행하면 Uber를 타도 저렴하게 탈 수 있으니 같이 여행하면 숙소, 교통, 음식 가격이 혼자 여행할 때 보다 저렴하니 친구랑 같이 여행하는 것이 더 좋다.

 Torrence, Gardena, Compton, Orange County, and Los Angeles are all attached, so wherever you ride the Uber, it will be resolved within $30. Instead of taking public transportation for two hours, it is a matter of saving money or spending money. If you travel together, you can ride Uber cheaply, so if you travel together, the cost of accommodation, transportation, and food is cheaper than traveling alone, so it's better to travel with your friends.

 터키 커피가 맛있는지는 모르겠다. 사람들이 커피를 마시려고 줄을 서는데 아마도 바리스타 누나가 말을 잘해서 그런 것 같다.

 I don't know if Turkish coffee is good. People are lining up for coffee, and maybe it's because Barista's sister is a good talker (or maybe Turkiey has a different way of making coffee).

 금인지 도금인지는 모르겠는 르브론 농구화. 정말 멋있지 않나. 미국은 길거리에서 먹는 음식은 모두 비싸다. 마트에서 사는 원재료는 저렴한데 말이다.

 I don't know if it's gold or plated, but LeBron basketball shoes. It's really cool. In the U.S., all foods eaten on the streets are expensive. Raw materials that live in the mart are cheap.

 former harlem globetrotters player; 전 할렘 글로브트로터 선수이다. 농구를 좋아하는 사람이면 이 팀은 대부분 알 것이라고 생각한다. 할렘 글로브트로터 선수의 평균 연봉이 연 $75,000 으로 충분하다고 들었다. 그런데 은퇴하고 나서는 길거리에서 농구를 하면서 사람들에게 팁을 받는다. 그런데 바구니에 담긴 돈의 금액을 보면 거의 대기업 사원 급이다.

 He is former a Harlem Globetrotter player. If you like basketball, I think you know the team. I heard that Harlem Globetrotter's average annual salary is $75,000 which is enough. But after retirement, the players do show on the street and get tips from people by playing basketball on the street. They still get paid a lot tho.

 길거리 래퍼, 길거리 농구선수, 길거리 미키마우스 등등 많은데 절대 무시가 최고고 만약 그들과 대화를 하고 싶다고 해도 돈을 내야 한다ㅋㅋㅋ 사실 돈을 안 줘도 되는데 자구 말을 걸고 귀찮게 한다. 필자는 한 번 당했는데 돈을 절대 안 줬다. 영어를 완전 못 하거나, 완전 무시하거나, 완전 영어를 잘해서 역관광 해야 한다. 듣는 척이라도 해주는 순간 반강매 시작이다.

 There are many street rappers, street basketball players, street Mickey Mouse, and so on, but the absolute best thing is to ignore and even if you want to talk to them, you have to pay. You must either speak English completely, ignore it completely, or do not speak English well so you should go back sightseeing. As soon as you pretend to listen, it's the start of a semicircle.

 명동에서 볼거리는 있어도 할 것은 없듯이 할리우드도 거의 비슷하다. 그래서 다시 Uber(우버)를 타곡 Griffith Observatory(그리피스 천문대)로 이동했다. Uber(우버)를 부를 때도 영어를 잘 못하는 관광객이 나한테 와서 전화를 받아 달라고 했는데 미국 여행 할 때 영어를 잘 못하면 불안할 수 있다. 여행할 때 현지 언어를 잘 모르면 그냥 구글 번역기를 잘 쓰는 연습을 하고 가도 괜찮다. 굳이 어정쩡하게 말하려고 하지 말라. 할리우드에서 우버를 불렀는데 또 20분 정도 기다렸고 Uber pool(우버 풀)을 탔는데 모두 다른 장소에서 내리는 두 사람이 이미 타고 있었다. 그래서 천문대까지 가는데 거의 한 시간이 걸렸다. 

 Hollywood is almost the same, as there is nothing to see and nothing to do in Myeong-dong So I moved Uber back to the tapered Griffith Observatory. Even when I call Uber, a tourist who is not good at English came to me and asked me to answer the phone, but when I travel to the U.S., I can feel uneasy if I don't speak English well. If you don't know the local language well when you travel, you can practice using Google Translator well. Don't try to speak with a grain of salt. I sang Uber in Hollywood, waited for another 20 minutes and rode Uber Pool, both of whom had already been on board. So it took almost an hour to get to the observatory.

 천문 박물관은 누구에게나 무료로 열려있다. 우주에 관심이 있는 사람이면 흥미롭게 박물관을 즐길 수 있다. 박물관이 조용한 분위기는 아니었고 사람들로 붐벼서 대화하면서 관람할 수 있다.

 The astronomical museum is open to everyone for free. Anyone interested in space can enjoy the museum with interest. The museum was not in a quiet atmosphere and was crowded so you can watch it while talking.

 그리피스 천문대(Griffith Observatory)에서 걸어서 내려갔다. 그런데 숙소로 가려고 Uber를 불렀는데 진짜 street lamp가 밝지 않고 길에 혼자 다니는 사람이 필자 외에는 없어서 정말 무서웠다. LA에서 대중교통을 한 번이라도 이용해 보려고 버스 정류장까지 혼자 걸어서 가려고 했으나 저녁 8:30에 혼자 다니는 것 조차 무서워서 곧 바로 Uber(우버)를 불렀다. 그렇게 Uber Pool을 타니까 또 다른 사람이 반대편 방향에서 탔다. 그렇게 30분거리를 교통 체증까지 겹쳐서 거의 90분 동안 타고 숙소에 도착했다. 멍청한 짓을 많이 했다.

 I was supposed to catch a bus at the nearest station from the Griffith Observatory so I walked down to the station from the top of the mountain where the observatory is all by myself. It was around 8:30 p.m. but I was too scared since there's no bright street lamp and there's no single person who walking on the street. I couldn't see anything around so called an Uber driver real quick, and waited behind the tree until the Uber came. Yes. I am a coward.
