Day 6: Colombo, Sri Lanka

 I looked up the pictures in the cloud and found more pictures. So I will share more pictures so I can help a bit more for those who travel in Sri Lanka. Since I arrived at Colombo Airport and left, but I forgot to have a picture of Colombo.

 클라우드에서 사진을 찾아보니 더 많은 사진들이 있었다. 그리고 콜롬보 공항에 도착했고 떠났으니 콜롬보 사진이 있을 것도 당연한데 그것을 깜빡했다.

 이 학교는 Ranabima Royal College이고, Kandy, Sri Lanka에 위치해 있다. 초등학생부터 중학생까지 다니는 학교로 기억하고 있다. 캔디 기차역까지 가는데 보여서 새벽에 사진을 찍었다. 스리랑카 거리에서 밤에 사람을 보기 어려운데 새벽부터 많은 사람들이 움직이는 것을 볼 수 있다. 부지런하다.

 The school is Ranabima Royal College, locatedin Kandy, Sri Lanka, and remembers it as a school that runs from elementary school to middle school. I was on my way to Candy Train Station when I saw it and took a picture at dawn.

정말 이른 새벽에 기차역에 도착했는데 많은 사람들이 있었다. 사람들 정말 부지런하다. 기차역 플랫폼에는 스크린이 없기 때문에 언제 어디서 타는지 본인 스스로 잘 확인해야 한다.

I arrived at the train station in the early morning and there were many people.People are really diligent. Because there is no screen on the train station platform, you should check yourself when and where you get on the train.

1등석 기차 내부 사진이다. 1등석인데 일반석과 다른 점이라고 하면 냄새가 덜 나고, 조용하고, 자리가 넓다. 캔디에서 콜롬보까지 약 4시간 정도 소요된 것으로 기억한다. 기차에서 잘려고 했는데 기차가 가는 길에 엄청 흔들리기 때문에 뭘 할 수가 없었다. 책을 읽고 싶어도 기차가 너무 흔들리고 잘려고 해도 너무 흔들리고 할 수 있는게 없다.

It's a picture of the inside of the first-class train. It is the first class, but it smells less, quiet, and has a wide space. I remember it took about four hours from Candy to Colombo. I tried to sleep on the train, but I could not do anything because the train was so shaken on the way. Even if you want to read a book, the train is too shaken and you can not do anything even if you try to sleep.

 콜롬보역 사진도 찍고 많이 찍었어야 했는데..

 이 곳은 콜롬보에서 인기 많은 기념품 샵이다. 확실히 캔디랑 콜롬보랑 많이 다르다. 스리랑카 여행을 하고 싶으면 무조건 콜롬보로 가길 바란다.

 I should have taken more pictures in Colombo.. but I didn't and now regret..

 This is a popular souvenir shop in Colombo. It is definitely different from Candy and Colombo. If you want to travel to Sri Lanka, you should go to Colombo undoubtedly.

 정말 이쁜 노트! 사고 싶었는데 루피로 환전한 돈이 부족했다. 다시 콜롬보 공항까지 가는 교통비랑 식비를 제외하면 쓸 수 있는 돈이 많이 없었다.

 Super pretty notes! I wanted to buy one but had not enough Rupees. Didn't have much budget except the amount of money that I had to spend on meals and transportation to the airport. If I have a chance to visit there one more time, I would love to buy one.

 다양한 기념품을 파는 곳이다. 콜롬보 기념품 샵 한 곳을 방문하면 그 주위에 기념품 샵이 많기 때문에 하나 정도 사기에는 좋은 것 같다.

 It is a place to sell various souvenirs. If you visit a Colombo souvenir shop, there are many souvenir shops around it, so it seems to be good for one or more purchases.

Sri Lanka Foods / 스리랑카 여행 음식

  스리랑카에 처음 가 봤습니다. 그리고 쌀은 한국 쌀 하고 많이 달랐습니다. 스리랑카 쌀은 수분이 없고 얇고 긴 쌀이었습니다. 그래서 항상 밥을 많이 주는데 가격은 한국하고 비교했을 때 엄청 저렴하거나 그러진 않았습니다. 한국에서도 밥버거 같은거 2,000원 ~ 4,000원 정도 하는데 이 곳 한끼 밥 그릇 bowl로 나오는 볶음밥 식사는 한화로 3,500원 ~ 5,000원 했습니다. 엄청 저렴하지도 않더라고요. I had been to Sri Lanka last winter and its rice was 200% different from Korean rice. Sri Lankan Rice is dried, skinny and long while Korean one is short and full. Since Sri Lanka's 'Gross Domestic Product' is lower than South Korea, I thought everything is much cheaper than Korea but it was not that cheap as much as I expected. The food in the picture costs about 3,500 won in Korea Currency. I don't remember its price in Lupee haha. Anyways it tasted not bad and apparently it is very common food in Sri Lanka.

"Avocado sucks."

  처음으로 아보카도 주스를 마셔봤습니다. 한국에서는 사실 과카몰리 Guacomole, 아보카도가 흔하지 않잖아요. 그래서 그냥 한 번 마셔보자 해서 마셨는데 건강해지는 맛이었으나 혀가 즐기는 맛은 없었습니다. I had a cup of Avocado drink for the first time. I didn't expect much from this small drink because it costed only 1,700 won much. However in Korea, Guacamole, Avocado and such tropical fruits (or vegetables?) are not common so that was why I just tried it! It tasted very healthy but no rejoice for my tongue.

  KOICA와 함께하는 월드프렌즈 청년중기봉사단 스리랑카 최종평가회를 어느 호텔에서 가졌다! 나는 이곳에서 잠시 머무르기만 했고 KOICA 단원들과는 아무런 연관이 없었다.
