Day 4: Keells in Kandy City Centre, Sri Lanka

Vegetable Prices

There was a TV screen where you could seethe price of fruits and vegetables at once. There was a paper price tag in Korea ratherthan this. The problem was that I knew the price, butthere was no picture, so it was also a problem to find out what was there.

Cheap Banana

Can you find that fruit in the mart is cleaner than fruit sold in the market? I never went to the market after coming to the mart once.

Cheap Watermelon

Cheap watermelons and bananas. In Korea, watermelons are almost 10usd. Why are Korean fruits so expensive? If you come to Sri Lanka, what you have to do is to buy fruit at the mart and eat(Don't buy in the market).

English Tea

These cars are also sold by Keells. It's not cheap but you may be a good gift to give without burdens. I bought nearly 10 and distributed them to friends and family. There're also the street merchants who sell English Tea. I recommend you to buy nothing in the street whatever it is.

.

Day 4: Swimming Pool in Cinnamon Citadel Kandy

An Electric Car Charger

There was an electric car charging station in front of the hotel. I've never seen an electric car in Sri Lanka, but I guess there's someone riding an electric car somewhere. In Sri Lanka, electricity is more expensive than in Korea. I'm a blessed person because I can be grateful for the fact that I can use electricity without any worries.

Where The Rich Lives

It's a view across from the hotel. Allegedly it is a place where the rich live. I could tell the house looks very spacious by just looking at it. I've never lived in such a large house in my life. The air here was clear and fresh. I hope there will be no fine dust in Seoul, Korea.

I'm in the pool!

People Enjoying Their Vacation!

There were few local people in Sri Lanka and most were foreigners. As expected, there were no Asians but me. The largest population in the world is Asians. Haha.

If you visit Sri Lanka, I strongly recommend you to visit this place! It is very quiet and really good for meditation because it is far from the noisy city. But I had to buy Wi-Fi and I'll let you know in advance that it's not cheap.

Fries and Cups of Milk Coffee!

I could order some snacks and it was really sweet but delicious. If you expect a vacation spot, make sure to visit this place! As I spent a lot of money, travel is fun. When I arrived in Sri Lanka, I had a scuffle with a taxi driver, and I had a confrontation with a market merchant, but when I came here, I forgot all my bad memories.

Nice View From The Dining Table
Yum

Sorry but I don't remember what restaurant it was. It was not bad but not super good too. I could enjoy all theses foods at the proper price! This place is located really near the Cinnamon Citadel but I don't remember the address and its name, sorry. If you want to try all kinds of food, then this place is not a bad option.

Day 3: Small Village in Kandy City, Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka' Calendar

Can you sense that your country's calendar is different from that of Sri Lanka? If you have not noticed the difference between the Sri Lankan calendar and your country's calendar, I hope you will look at your calendar once more and read this article. It's just a little different, but it's different from my country's calendar so I took a picture of it.

To be honest, Sri Lanka is not a fun country to travel. Everywhere I go, people who look the same are trying to sell something to foreigners. It was okay once or twice, but it was unpleasant that Sri Lankan merchants were trying to sell things in a language I do not understand anywhere and anytime. The bigger problem is that even if I say it is okay, they anyway keep doing it.

Red Tuk Tuk

This is Tuktuk. I had first Tuk Tuk ride in Sri Lanka. When you try to catch a Tuk Tuk, you should look its appearance carefully so you can check if it has any broken parts or if its tires are okay. Because as you can see the front tire of the Tuk Tuk, its tires were badly worn as if these are going to be flat tires. There are not as many traffic lights in Sri Lanka as your country, and no seat belts in Tuk Tuk. You've got to be careful all the time.

And Never catch a Tuk Tuk on the road. Call it by Pick Me App. If you catch a Tuk Tuk on the road then a driver costs you three times more than it should be. If you use, however, the app it automatically costs you according to its algorithm.

A lof of fruit.  SALIYA FRUITS; All kind of fruits & Vegetables Suppliers. Go try here if you visit Kandy soon :)

A lot of small watermelons. I am wondering if people really buy watermelons often because these are about two hundreds and where I stayed was very small village. Sri Lanka is cheap in fruit and it is really plentiful. To be honest, I don't want to say anything about its taste.

Day1: Sri Lanka, Colombo International Airport

Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kandy City Centre

Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kandy City Centre (2)

Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kandy City Centre (2)

The construction workers were working in front of the market. But what's interesting is that they were working on it without a fence. What I felt in Sri Lanka was that people have good eyesight and they wear a pair of flip flops every day. Korea should be more careful because it is a country where the personal principle is applied. Or maybe I'm the only one who's so sensitive about this.

There are many bags, but they are all fake. And it's dirty because there's a lot of dust on it. Of course because it's on display outside for 24 hours a day. Don't buy fakes. Buying fakes is a crime, and selling fakes is a crime too.

Stepping out of the authentic market and walking a little upward, you will see a shopping mall-like building. Bag, shoes, clothes, hats, chargers, etc. There was a lot of stuff, but there wasn't a price tag at all. You really need to be careful when you visit a store without a price tagI could see a lot of people from the West. I heard that Westerners like to travel to Asia. Sri Lankan merchants know they have a lot of money and try to cheat.

Many Sri Lankan merchants spoke Korean, butI thought it was more foolish to buy things at a stupid price simply because they knew how to speak Korean. Frankly, there was no what I wanted to buy specially. I wanted to buy something that represents Sri Lanka at the proper price. But the merchants tried to sell me a T-shirt for $50 = 8,000 lkr, so I just decided not to buy it.

Phone Chager

I kept going around the market to buy a phone charger, but there was no phone charger and there was a phone 'CHAGER' so I did not buy it. If you look like a foreigner and not a SriLankan, you need to be careful when look aroundMany merchants will be talking to you to sell just because you are a foreigner.

Day1: Sri Lanka, Colombo International Airport

Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kandy City Centre

Since English is not my mother tongue, there may be many wrong parts in the article. If you find the wrong point, let me know via comment. Thank you. If there is anyone who wants me to write in Korean, please let me know. I am studying English while writing in English. So please understand.

Day 2: Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kandy City Centre

Day 1:  Sri Lanka, Colombo International Airport

Airline meal

I know I shoud've put this picture in the 'Day 1' post. The meat was delicious, but I thought I wantedmore rice. Korean Air was not bad.

PickMe App Ride

Don't use Uber but PickMe App! TukTuk is only available at PickMe. Plus, Uber in Sri Lanka is more expensive than PickMe. Have you ever been in a taxi for four hours? I called a PickMe as soon as I arrived at Colombo International Airport and headed to Kandy City. If you look at the fuel efficiency at the dashboard, it says its fuel efficiency is 31.7km/litre. How good car it is?!

I had 7 hours long flight from Seoul to Colombo and arrived at the airport at around 4AM and 2 hours waiting for immigration. I was dang exhausted and I was kind of afraid of being kidnapped or getting robbed because I knew it takes 4 hours from the airport to Kandy City and I am very new to Sri Lanka and I don't understand Sri Lanka language at all (I doubted even where I was heading to). It costed about 5,000 rupees for 4 hours riding from Colombo Airport to Kandy City Centre.

I was afraid that the taxi driver did not concentrate on driving and watched TV.

But fortunately, I arrived safely at Kandy City. It took four hours and the price was about 5,000 rupees. When I arrived at KCC, there was something surrounded with big wall. It was an authentic market.

There is a bus, but there is no bus stop sign, and there is no line on the road, so you shouldbe really careful if you drive. There is nocrosswalk or traffic light, so when you cross the road, you should be careful.

It's the inside of the market. There are so many people. If you are not a Sri Lankan, merchants will tryto sell fruit to you at a ridiculous price. So if merchants say something, it is better to ignore them. Don't buy anything from them.

You can buy fruits at a store with a price tag,but avoid merchants who do not have a pricetag and continue to change prices. There were so many people, so I was worried about the hygienecondition.

Look at his feet, the fish man and look at the hands of the fish man. I was worried about hygiene because he was not wearing gloves and shoes so I did not buy anything. I really didn't want to go to the hospital or be hospitalized because of stomachache duringmy trip.

I didn't buy anything in the market. What you should be careful about is that there are a lot of people who want to cheat against foreigners.Itis best to be careful and ignore strangers whenthey talk. The reason I did not buy anything was that the price changed every time I asked the price, and I was worried about hygiene.

So I decided to go to the mart and buy a sidedish that I could eat with rice. When you are abroad, you are at risk of fallingimmunity, so it is good to eat foods that can take care of your health no matter whatyou eat. And at least if you go to the mart and buy something, you are not worried about being fraudulent.

SAMSUNG is everywhere

All the inside advertisements at the mart were Samsung. I was so proud that I was a Korean.

There was a burger king at the Sri Lanka Mart, but it was too expensive. If the price of food exceeds 850 lkr, it can be said to be expensive. So I wanted to eat Burger King, but I did not eatit and ate other things.I honestly can not remember what I ate.
