편의점 알바의 고충 / 편의점 알바 진상 손님들

편의점 내부에서 음주는 금지이다. 편의점에서 손님이 음주를 하면 편의점주에게 책임이 있다. 그래서 음주를 절대 막아야 한다. 나는 편의점에서 알바를 하고 있는 입장이었고 손님들이 음주를 하면 무조건 밖에서 마시라고 당부했다. 그런데 택배 기사 아저씨들은 편의점 알바가 20대 ~ 30대처럼 보이니까 존중은 없고 무시하고 편의점 내부에서 음주를 했다. 저 아저씨들이 왜 저렇게 말도 안 듣고 저러는지 이해가 안 됐다. 대한민국은 대체적으로 법을 무시하는 경향이 강한 것 같다. 경찰들이 훈방조치를 많이 하기도 하고 큰 사건 외에는 맡지 않으려는 상황이 많다 (실제로 편의점 알바를 하다가 어떤 취객이 소주병을 깨고 필자를 조금 밀쳐서 경찰에 신고했더니 상황도 제대로 듣기 전에 선처하는 게 어떻겠냐고 물었다). 

Drinking alcohol inside of CSV is illegal. If an owner of CSV allows customers to drink alcohol in CSV, all the responsilbilities go to the CSV. Thus, if you see anyone drinking alcohol in CSV you have to kick them out as soon as you see them. I was working at CSV and if I see someone trying to drink in CSV I always tell them to go out and drink. Since I look like younger than really I am, however, drunkards always ignore what I am saying to them. I don't understand why people do not follow the rules that all we have. One more problem that Korea has is police officers do not give up crap about this. What they have to do is finding out the people who do shit and fine them or jail them, but they are nice to them.

냉장고 위에서 식사를 하면 안되고, 편의점 내부에서 음주를 하면 안 된다고 해도 택배 기사 아저씨들이 하는 말은 자기가 여기서 편의점 음식을 샀으니까 자신은 어디서 먹어도 문제 될 것이 없으니 그냥 조용히 내 일이나 하라고 했다. 대한민국은 갑을을 심각하게 따지고 법을 안 지키는 사람들이 매우 많다. 

대한민국 임금체불 문제

대한민국 임금체불액은 매년 증가하고 있다. 2019년 들어서 최저시급이 전년도에 비해 너무 많이 상승한 탓도 크다. 그리고 경영자들이 운영을 못해서 급여를 지급 못하는 경우도 많다. 경영도 순조롭고 직원들도 열심히 하는데도 불구하고 급여를 지급을 안 해도 임금체불이고 경영이 어려워서 지급 못해도 결국 임금체불이다. 하지만 임금체불 같은 경우에는 가능한 한 빨리 '고용노동부'에 신고하는 것이 정답이다. 고용인인 '다음 달 까지만 기다려줘' 이런 말을 해도 절대 듣지 말고 가능한 한 빨리 신고한 이후에 임금을 받으면 그때 신고 취하를 하면 된다. 비단 정규직뿐만 아니라 아르바이트들에게도 임금체불은 자주 일어난다.

편의점 점장이 이용하는 임금체불 수법이다. 편의점 아르바이트에게는 횡령, 절도죄가 성립하는 것이 맞다. 그리고 편의점장에게는 임금체불이 적용된다. 편의점 아르바이트를 하더라도 '폐기 음식'은 점주의 확실한 허락을 맡고 먹는 것이 맞다(허락을 확실하게 증거로 남겨야 한다. 녹음기로 녹음을 하던가, 동영상을 찍던가, 문자로 허락을 맡고 먹어야 한다. 분명히 점주의 동의가 있어야 한다). 그리고 위 사진에서의 편의점 점장은 영리하다. 임금체불을 제대로 알고 신고하려면 증거수집은 물론이고 영리해야 한다.

편의점 일하면서 힘들었던 점 / Things I have struggled while working at CVS

Old people come to the CVS where I worked at every day. 내가 일하는 편의점에 노가다 아저씨들이 매일 왔다. 믿을 수 없을 정도로.

낮이나 밤이나 새벽이나 저녁이나 매일 왔다. No matter what time it is, these people came to the place. 노가다 아저씨들이 일을 구하면 일을 구했다고 오고, 일을 못 구하면 시간 보낼 곳이 없으니까 편의점에서 계속 있는다. If they find a job to do for a day, then I come to have a cup of coffee. If they couldn't find a job to do, then they stay at here for hours since they have nowhere to go until the sun downs.

These kinds of people were very impolite and rude to even strangers. When I saw them for the first time, how they spoke to me was very rude. In Korea, you know when you talk to someone for the first time you have to talk to them with honorifics but they didn't. 노가다 아저씨들은 굉장히 무례했다. 처음보는 사람에게도 반말을 하고 이것 저것 시켰다.

I am grateful for God who gave me a chance to see them while working at the CVS because I found that not all the people who looks for a job is not nice and not all the people in need are nice. 나는 편의점에서의 경험을 감사하게 생각한다. 왜냐하면 필자는 경제적으로 어려운 모든 사람이 모두 착하지 않다라는 것을 크게 깨달았다. Being nice or something can be defined by one's environment but one's character. 착하고 나쁜 것은 인간의 환경에서 결정되는 것이 아니라 한 사람의 성격에서 나오는 것을 알게 되었다. 

항상 와서는 "담배" 이랬다. 그래서 내가 "어떤 담배요?" 이러면 손가락 하나로 가르키기만 했다. 나는 그들의 담배를 계산하는 순간을 극도로 싫어했다. They always were like "Hey! Cigarette!" Then I was like " What cigarette?" and they were pointing the pack of cigarette they want not saying anything. I hated the moment when I ring packs of cigarettes of them.

나는 그들이 잘 생겼든 못 생겼든 돈이 많든 적든 신경 쓸 필요없다. I don't care if they have good looking or not. I don't even care how much they have because I was a person who ring what customers want to buy. 나는 손님의 물건을 계산하는 사람이니까 말이다. However there's something does exist called "Politeness" 하지만 예의라는 것이 존재하기는 한다.

Wholesale Price Of CVS Products

편의점 상품 원가를 알아보자 / 편의점 순수익을 알아보자

When I was working at CVS as a night-time staff for a few months, I found many things that I didn't know before working. Let us see what it is (to be honest title says all haha I will show you how much is the wholesale price of the products in CVS). GS 25에서 일하기 전에는 몰랐던 것을 아르바이트를 하면서 알게 되었다. 편의점 상품 원가에 대해서 알아보자.

식객편육 200g 원가는 4,114원이다. 소비자가격은 7,000원 ~ 8,000원 이었던 걸로 기억한다. 냉동식품은 원가가 약 50% ~ 60% 선을 유지하는 듯하다. Its retail price is around $7 (I don't remember exactly) and it price wholesale price is $4. Frozen foods in CVS seem to maintain its profit ratio as 50%-ish.

편의점에서 제일 많이 팔리는 Fresh Food 도시락, 김밥을 보자. 편의점 도시락 소비자 가격은 3,700원 ~ 4,500원 정도인데 원가는 2,736원이다. 도시락이 제일 많이 팔리지만 마진은 얼마 안남는 것 같다. The most sold product in CVS (GS25) is a lunch-box. Its retail price is around $3.5 and its wholesale price is 2,736 won. It is the most sold product but I think its margin is not much.

Strawberry Yogurt. Its retail price is around 1,500 won and its wholesale price is 698 won (this much in USD is like $0.6). 바이오로슈거 딸기 요거트는 소비자 가격은 1,500원이고 원가는 698원이다. 요거트 같은 경우는 수익률이 높다.

마지막으로는 빵이다. 빵 소비자가격은 1,200원으로 기억하고 원가는 600원이다. 이렇게 편의점 상품 원가를 알아 보았다. 그런데 크게 놀랍지 않았을 수도 있다. 왜냐하면 거의 모든 상품들의 원가가 50%~ 60% 정도를 유지하기 때문이다. 도시락을 제외하고는 원가가 모두 이 정도를 유지한다. The last product is bread. I remember its retail price is 1,200 won and wholesale price is 600 won as you can see the price in the picture. I figured the wholesale price of the products in CVS. It might not be surprised because it is sort of obvious to anyone who has ever ran one's business. The most of products in CVS maintain its profit ratio as 50% ~ 60% (except for the lunch-boxes).

Teenagers Who Wanted To Deceive and Buy Alcohols.

편의점에서 술 담배 사다 걸린 청소년

At the time when I was working at CVS as a night-time staff, the owner of mine always cautioned that never buy anything from crazy strangers and never sell alcohols to whom does not have one's ID card. One day, a couple of teenagers entered CVS and they directly headed for alcohols in the fridge, not even looking at other stuffs. Just like they stored their alcohols here, they picked the bottles of beers and Soju and put the bottles on the counter. It took less than a minute until they put the bottles. Since I knew they don't even have IDs(because they looked really young like fifteen or sixteen) I told them to show their IDs, and they said they forgot to bring because they lost their IDs. So I told them to return the bottles and leave but they said they are not teenagers and just forgot to bring the IDs again. I was like "According to the rules of CVS, we can't sell alcohols and cigarette to whom does not have an ID. Sorry. Please return the bottles and leave.". And they left CVS, spitting bad words. It was ridiculously upset moment because I had to put the bottles back to the fridge all again. I strongly believe that the world can be more peaceful when every person in the world does not commit anything illegal. GS25에서 아르바이트를 하고 있는데 어느 청소년들 처럼 보이는 학생들 몇명이 몰려왔다. 그리고는 마치 술을 맡겨논 것 같이 술이 있는 냉장고로 곧장 향해서 술을 골라서 바로 계산대에 올랐다. 편의점에 들어오고나서 1분도 안돼서 술을 계산대에 올려놨다. 그래서 나는 신분증을 요구했고 신분증이 없다고 했다. 근무자인 나는 술병을 냉장고에 되돌려놓고 나가라고 했더니 한 번만 봐달라고 했다. 그래서 됐고 술병 돌려놓고 나가라고 했더니, 술병은 안 넣고 그냥 욕하면서 나갔다. 정말 화가 났던 하루였다. 술병도 다시 넣고, 진상도 상대하고, 청소도 하고, 분리수거 하고, 계산 하고 힘들었다 하루로 기억한다. 술은 20대가 되서 마셔도 된다.
